Last year Let’s Get Ready was awarded a three-year $225,000 matching grant by the prestigious Alfond Foundation to grow its programming in Waterville, ME. In partnership with the Alfond Youth Center and Colby College, this spring Let’s Get Ready provided 70 high school students from low-income backgrounds with critical SAT prep and college admissions counseling.
Hosted on the Colby campus where the students received free dinner in the dining hall, this program, which engaged 19 Colby student Coaches was a huge success! Pursuant to the terms of the Alfond Foundation’s matching grant requirements, Let’s Get Ready must raise $57,500 for this program by August 31.
