Meet Elvis and Ishrat!
Elvis – Columbia ‘23 – is a coach in LGR’s Success Program and Ishrat – NYU ‘24 – is an LGR student and serves on our Student Leadership Council. They got together recently in LGR’s office in NYC to reflect on how the program has impacted each of them and why they’re excited about LGR growing to serve more students.
Elvis and Ishrat are two of the 16,000+ students and coaches who work with LGR every year to achieve their dreams of earning a college degree. Our unique program model is built around “near-peer mentoring”; we pair current college students (who serve as coaches) with high school and college students for support and guidance as they navigate the complex path to and through college.
